Mission Possible Turkey Fry

On Tuesday, November 26, 2013, Tracy Lawrence called on a number of his country music artist friends as well as folks from the community and they all gathered on the parking lot of the Nashville Rescue Mission for the Eighth Annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry.  Mr. Lawrence, who has recorded some 18 number one hits, sets a goal of collecting 1,000 turkeys each year to feed the least fortunate of the community for the Great Thanksgiving Feast.  The George Boedecker Foundation participated in the event by providing $5,500 to purchase 225 turkeys for the event.  Jeff Humphrey and Deborah Martinez represented the foundation at the actual turkey fry where 500 of the birds were deep fried and prepared for the Thanksgiving Feast.  Lynn Bogle, Chief Development Officer for the Nashville Rescue Mission, stated “we are so thankful and blessed by our partnership and the generosity of the Boedecker Foundation,” he continued, “whenever there is a need to help the least fortunate, it seems this foundation is always there to lend a helping hand.”
